This initiative invites migrant adolescents (ages 15–19) from Alto Hospicio and Arica—two highly vulnerable, migrant-rich communities in northern Chile—to become active researchers of their own realities through the Photovoice methodology. Grounded in anti-oppressive social work theories, the project trains youth to document and analyze their surroundings via photography, empowering them to identify and communicate the challenges they face in their daily lives. Weekly workshops combine theoretical and methodological training with fieldwork, fostering collaboration between youth and facilitators. The project culminates in two key outputs: a national forum featuring the participants and experts, and the publication of a high-quality photo catalogue that amplifies the voices and visions of young migrants, distributed to cultural centers, government ministries, and policy institutions.
