The forum “Refugees from Afghanistan in Chile, Experiences and Lessons” was a meeting organized by UN Women Latin America and the Caribbean and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. The purpose of this event was to delve into the situation of refugees from Afghanistan in Chile. Various institutions from civil society, academia, and the United Nations participated with the aim of supporting states in fulfilling their international commitments and learning from the process of accompanying the integration of Afghan refugees. It focused on the South-South cooperation strategy and the Second Chance Education program promoted by UN Women Latin America and the Caribbean. The principal investigator of the Millennium Nucleus MIGRA, Olaya Grau, participated in this activity.
