On October 9, 2024, Alejandra Abufhele, principal researcher at the Millennium Nucleus MIGRA and academic at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, participated in a seminar organized by the Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos – Región de Atacama and the Fundación para la Superación de la Pobreza. Her presentation, titled “Measuring Multidimensional Poverty in Childhood and the Consequences of Poverty on Child Development,” addressed conceptual and methodological challenges in the measurement of child poverty and discussed empirical evidence on its long-term effects. The activity took place in Copiapó and aimed to bridge academic research and local public action.
