The MIGRA Millennium Nucleus seeks to advance understanding of the social, institutional, and economic consequences of recent waves of immigration to Chile—a country that has become one of the leading destinations for migrants in Latin America.

We produce rigorous empirical evidence on migrant integration, legal barriers, public perceptions, and interventions to foster social cohesion. Our research model connects senior and emerging scholars to advance knowledge on migration's consequences, drivers, and perception gaps in Chile.

We compile multi-source evidence on migration flows, openly sharing data to support transparency and replicable research.

We drive policy impact by engaging decision-makers and the public, sharing research findings, fostering dialogue with stakeholders—including migrant-led organizations—and contributing to public debates through media and social platforms to inform policy and public understanding.
