Our Principal Investigator, Olaya Grau, joined numerous civil society organizations in an opinion piece published by El Mostrador. In this piece, several organizations expressed their concerns regarding Circular N°014 of the Civil Registry Service, where it specifies that newborns whose parents are migrants in an irregular condition must be registered as “passerby’s son/daughter”. This, according to the signatories, poses a big risk to the right of citizenship.
