Antonia Mardones holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Sociocultural Anthropology from Columbia University. Her research focuses on migration, borders, race, and citizenship in Latin America, particularly in the Chilean and Southern Cone contexts. She is particularly interested in how racial and national categories are produced and contested in border regions.
